Open Box FAQ

"It's what's inside that counts"

Through lack of an industry wide standard, seeing "open box" next to a product can feel unsettling when shopping online. That's why we've created this blog post! To explain what open box items mean for us, answer some FAQ's and debunk any misconceptions.

Open box, what does it mean?

Open-box items are products that are no longer factory sealed. Usually they originate from customer returns or from items that have been opened for inspection or testing purposes.

This is different from a "damaged box" listing, which describes an item that is factory sealed but signs of wear are visible on the product packaging, such as cardboard being torn

What are the benefits of purchasing open box products?

The benefit you receive is an epic discount on the product you purchase! Big brand consumer electronics usually come with big prices; open box items allow you to purchase the same products at a fraction of the price.

Will the product be damaged/show signs of wear?

In short, no!

Any of the open box products we receive are inspected and graded by our in-house tech engineers. From these items, we only choose those that pass our extensive checklist to ensure that you receive the item as the manufacturer intended, with no defects and no noticeable signs of wear.

Does the product have warranty?

Whether an item has a manufacturer warranty will vary between products, which is stated in the product description. However, as we pride ourselves on providing a hassle-free customer experience, we also give out a free 1-month, warranty on any of our products that do not function as intended.

Can I return the item?

We accept returns of items that have been purchased within 30 days. You can see more about our returns policy

here.
